Apple Cider Vinegar Is a Great Toothache Reliever

Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is not only an amazing home remedy for toothache, but it can also be a great natural treatment for a number of other health issues. The benefits of apple cider vinegar have been known for many years, but research has only recently revealed the many health benefits that it can provide.

Many people are aware that ACV has beneficial properties for helping to detoxify the body, so much so that it is often used in herbal and natural remedies. As the body’s natural cleansing agent, it can remove harmful toxins from the bloodstream, which can cause a number of health problems. It has also been proven to stimulate the immune system.

One of the best-known uses of ACV is for a treatment for toothaches. It is known to contain a compound called Acetone which is a natural antiseptic that helps to kill bacteria on the tooth’s surface, therefore making them more susceptible to being damaged. There are many other treatments available that use this unique property of ACV to help to cleanse the body of bacteria.

But where do you start when trying to decide how to use ACV to treat toothaches? There are three main treatments, the most popular one being the use of vinegar mixed with water to form a paste.

This is probably the easiest and most effective way to get toothache relief and works well if the toothache is acute. Just add a small amount of vinegar to the water and gently massage into the gum line. The acidity of the vinegar will help to reduce swelling and inflammation, while it stimulates the production of new nerve endings to help to stop pain signals from reaching the brain.

Another effective method of toothache relief is to mix a bit of ACV with some salt and toothpaste, apply to the affected gums, and leave to dry. Allow the mixture to remain in the mouth for a few minutes before flossing to remove any excess.

Baking soda is a popular choice for toothache relief as well. Mix equal parts of baking soda and lemon juice and rub into the gum lines. It is best to use the baking soda mixture two or three times a day and remove excess each time.

Ice may be the most effective way to treat a toothache, and you may find it surprising how little it really takes to effectively calm a throbbing tooth. Simply make a cold compress using two ice cubes and place in the affected area.

You can also create a natural cold compress using two teaspoons of honey and one tablespoon of ACV, add the honey to a bowl of ice cubes and mix together until combined. This will create a powerful yet gentle cool sensation, which can help to relieve painful spots around the mouth.

Now that you have some basic ACV information to go on, it is worth trying out a few of these methods to see which one is most effective for you. It is possible that there are a number of treatments that you have never heard of before, so if you have tried to use ACV for some time without success, keep trying new techniques until you find something that works for you.

As well as treating the pain in the gum line, ACV can also help to reduce the discomfort caused by toothaches by helping to reduce bleeding. So if you suffer from a painful tooth, try applying apple cider vinegar, it could give you the much-needed toothache relief you need.
